How to Wash Hair
We hear you say, “Why do I need to learn that? I’ve been doing it for years!” Well but it is possible that you have not been doing it right.
One of the reasons for unnecessary hair breakage is an incorrect washing technique. Shampoo commercials invariably show us ladies shampooing their hair with their tresses all glamorously piled up on their head. Actually that is not the way that hair should be washed, because when you pile it up like that on top, you are tangling up your hair in a manner that will lead to breakage when you are combing out your wet hair.
So follow these steps next time you shampoo:
1. Comb your hair well before you wet it make sure the snarls are out.
2. Then wet it well, saturate it.
3. Take the shampoo and massage it into your scalp. You don’t need to concentrate so much on the ends of the hair or you will dry them out.
4. Now rinse thoroughly, not being thorough enough leads to product build up.
5. When you apply conditioner, concentrate on the ends of the hair and keep the conditioner away from the scalp as far as possible. Now rinse it out or don’t as per the kind of conditioner you use.
6. Now don’t wring out your hair, instead wrap it in a towel to blot excess moisture and then comb it out.
Is your hair squeaky clean yet?
