Laser Hair Removal

When we talk about permanent hair removal the topic of laser hair removal invariably comes up. It sounds like a great option so that you never have to bother about hair removal ever again. However this procedure has several limitations, so take them into account if you are thinking about laser hair removal.

For one, you need several sessions of the procedure because the laser works by disabling hairs that are in their active growth cycle at the time of treatment. Of course all hairs are not in their growth cycle at any given time and so more sessions will be required to target the other hairs that will enter their growth cycle later, so that all of the follicles in a given area can be disabled.

Also it is important to understand that this procedure may not work for everyone, and works best on those that have the combination of pale skin and coarse dark hair.

Further this procedure is touted to be ‘permanent’; however, touch up treatments may sometimes be required 1 to 2 times a year after the initial set of treatments.

Take all this into account and ask plenty of questions if you do decide to go in for this treatment.
