Hair Braiding

Hair braiding has been around since times immemorial and with braiding you can get your desired look, be it one of gangsta cool, refined sophistication or just simple school girlish charm.

The Rasta Braids are actually something you have to commit to, because they usually are something that can stay for months. The do consists of lots of fine braids, usually with synthetic hair woven into the natural hair from the hairline until at least 1 to 2 cm. The braids are often decorated with beads.

Hair braids which form a crown bun or a pleat that is part of an updo can be really chic and glamorous, and when properly done can grace the red carpet itself. These are formal hairstyles that most women look good in.

Then there are French braids or straightforward plaits which gives you that ingénue look. Connection Between Recession and Hair Color!

Now that the end of the recession is in sight (hopefully) we can perhaps sit back and laugh a bit at all things recession related. One unusual link has been discovered between recession and hair dye or hair color; that people use it more not less during recession! Why?

Well it’s because during the recession when times are hard, people look to inexpensive ways to up their mood and escape into a fantasy world say some experts. There is another reason; that people try to look youthful and smarten up their image in a weak job market, to better their chances at landing a job in times when layoffs are more common than hiring.

According to the UK publication The Telegraph this is the “gold rush” phenomenon and according to celebrity hairstylist Andrew Barton, people dyed hair blond as an antidote to depression engendered by the economic crisis. It is being called the ‘hair dye index’; this link between hair coloring and the economy: the worse the economy, the lighter the hair!
