Hair Loss Meds Could Cause Sexual Dysfunction

Hair loss is one issue that men could be addressing at the cost of creating another problem, it would seem, according to a class action law suit filed by a Vancouver man.

It is being claimed that hair loss medication is responsible for causing sexual dysfunction among men; that commonly used brands such as Propecia and Proscar could be having this negative impact upon men.

The complainant in the lawsuit is claiming that when he took the medication to combat his problem of thinning hair, he ended up with another, more serious problem as a result. He found a loss of interest in sex as well as a newly developed sense of social anxiety. Even after stopping the intake of the drug, the problems persisted and even specialists have not been able to help redress the problem.

In some European countries, the medication already carries the warning that erectile dysfunction could result from the use of this drug, however similar changes have not been made yet in other countries.
