Waxing

Removing Hair by Waxing

Waxing is the most commonly used method of hair removal the world over. It has been going on since years. Earlier instead of wax, molten sugar was used. That made the process far more painful. Nowadays, with good quality wax, it is a quick procedure with minimal pain.

Hot wax is applied onto the skin with a spatula. Strips of cloth or cellophane are then pressed onto it. The strip is then pulled off in a single jerk. The strip comes off with the wax and the hair stuck to it, leaving smooth and radiant skin. Dead skin cells also come off along with the wax leaving younger looking skin.

The procedure is a little messy, with the hot and sticky wax that may drip. The skin needs to be thoroughly washed after the procedure to clean it of any remaining wax. The procedure is cumbersome and normally you would need somebody else to do it for you.

Some women do manage to do arm and leg waxing on their own. But if you are looking for something like full body waxing, you will need to go to a salon and let someone else do it for you. Brow wax is again something that you can do for yourself. But bikini waxing and Brazilian waxing is best left to specialists and trained professionals.
